Five new songs in 6 weeks…

A dear friend told me recently that heartache is the stuff that creativity flows from. Perhaps. Yes and. Life lessons come in many forms these days. This week I have a new awareness. It seems that people who matter our lives, and whom we have not seen for quite come time, can appear new. I am coming to know that things happen for reasons we cannot know in timing that makes no sense. But I am hoping that the universe is quietly and always at work in ways that are good for all living things. this one is called Angels in the Eyes. Lyrics written 5/30/2021.

I looked into the eyes of a past lover, And saw the angels dancing there. 

I saw the blessings taken for granted, I felt my heart began to stir

And though the miles had come between us, and other lovers entered since

It didn’t matter in the heart’s space, it was the blessing that I glimpsed.

 All the gifts we shared and gave.

I was sorry for hurt I'd had caused you, I was sorry for loss of days

I was that it was passing that allowed us, to grow in different ways.

Is this the side that’s so much wiser, is this the side that will reveal?

The purpose of time together, the lessons in the heart break wheel.

Time does pass and love does fade

Until and through when peace is made

Peace comes then as if to say

Love has changed us both some way.
